Summer Programme 2004
The Re-dedication May 16th: In her
centennial year this took
place alongside the
Albert Pier, Penzance on Sunday 16th May
at 3.30 p.m.
Brian
and Pat Barton represented the family of the
original owners and the Rev. Julyan Drew re-dedicated the
Happy Return.
The
Pendeen Silver Band entertained us
superbly and It
was a truly unforgettable afternoon!
Porthleven
Day: Was postponed from May 30th until possibly
later in the year
Golowan Festival June26th-27th: We took part in Quay Fair Day on
the Sunday and invited everyone aboard. Some
pictures of the Mazey Day Parade and the Golowan
Band
Mousehole
Sea Salts & Sail July 2nd - 4th: The Happy Return is
seen moored up in Mousehole harbour. She sailed
during the festival off Mousehole in Mounts Bay.

Brest
Festival July 10th-16th and Douarnenez Festival July 16th-20th: :
The
Happy Return made a visit to Brest in
France on 12th July for
the 2004 Maritime Festivals.
Wonderful fireworks on the
last night at
Brest

The "Parade of Sail"
of around 2500 ships from Best to Douarnenez
which took over 6 hours.

Falmouth Regatta August 8th - 14th: Happy
Return was a guest exhibit at the National
Maritime Museum moored alongside Robin
Knox-Johnson's teak-hulled ketch
Suhaili.

Happy
Return sailing in a "two mizzen
blow" at the "Classics" when she
came a commendable second to Reliance in her
first race!
