The Boat Flag

Mike Halse has researched a traditional design for a pennant for the Happy Return.

Jean Harris of Mousehole, sister to the late Lawrie Waters kindly loaned the flag from "Inter Nos" a motor pilchard driver built after the turn of the century and owned by the Sleeman family in Mousehole.

These flags were flown by luggers at special occasions such as harbour sports and family weddings. They are big, so you certainly won't miss the one on Happy Return when it's flying!

Here you can see our flag being initially assembled by Eunice and made alongside the loan flag.
